Eating is one of the most mundane things we do everyday, yet each time we eat is an opportunity for connecting to that which is beyond ourselves--to tradition, to peoplehood, to ethics, and to the Sacred.
In this 4-part series for young adults, we'll explore the ins-and-outs of Kashrut (Jewish dietary practice), learning about the laws, spirituality, and social implications of this component of religious life.
As with all Base BSTN learning, we make no assumptions about participant backgrounds, practices, or religious experience - all are welcome. While grounded in traditional texts, this series is largely discussion-based and will benefit greatly from the participation and sharing that comes from participants.
